DCon's mascot character had gone and gotten a "Japanime"-esque do-over, courtesy of @bigshotklim (for Ben @3dretro and Don @datadub), and sculpted by @bigshottoyworks, with a quartet of colorways previewed+released (in "a small super limited quantity") at DesignerCon 2019 itself!
Vincent comes in at about 6 inches tall and is articulated!
Got this in hand and the silver finish really pops under light, way more dynamic than I expected from the promo shots. The sculpt's got that chunky retro charm, and it sits solidly on the shelf without any wobble. Packaging was snug too, so it arrived mint.
The sculpt captures that playful Japanime style perfectly, and the silver finish really makes every little crease and fold in the mascot pop under light. It's a hefty little sofubi that feels solid in hand, and I keep finding new details in the design each time I look at it.
The silver paint job gives it this cool metallic sheen that photos don't quite do justice to, and the sculpted details from the design team really pop in person. I've had it on my shelf for a week now and keep catching myself picking it up just to look at the finish.
