DCon's mascot character had gone and gotten a "Japanime"-esque do-over, courtesy of @bigshotklim (for Ben @3dretro and Don @datadub), and sculpted by @bigshottoyworks, with a quartet of colorways previewed+released (in "a small super limited quantity") at DesignerCon 2019 itself!
Vincent comes in at about 6 inches tall and is articulated!
The little guy arrived in perfect condition, and the yellow vinyl really pops against the paint details on the sculpt. I keep him on my shelf next to my other sofubi, and the Japanime-style face is a fun twist that fits the character well.
The collaboration behind this one is wild—the Japanime-inspired rework gives it so much personality that it stands out on my shelf next to the standard sofubi. Painted details are crisp, and the yellow pops exactly like the promo shots.
The sculpt on this one is seriously sharp—you can tell the Japanime-style rework was done by someone who respects the original character. It's a hefty sofubi with nice weight in hand, and the yellow pops way more than the photos suggested.
