tokidoki Fast Food vs Pixie Dust Unicorno Blind Boxes Compared

Two tokidoki blind boxes, two collector personalities

At first glance these two series look like twins: both cost $8 per blind box (catalog comparison price $16), both stand about 2.75 inches (70 mm), and both are recommended for ages 8+. The real split comes down to character loyalty versus fairy-themed fantasy. The tokidoki x Hello Kitty and Friends Fast Food Blind Box leans on Sanrio nostalgia and a diner theme. The tokidoki Pixie Dust Fairy Unicorno Blind Box goes all-in on winged unicornos with fairy-inspired colors.

Neither box lets you choose the figure inside. Each quantity ordered equals one blind box, and duplicates are possible even when you order a case. So the useful comparison is not which figure you will get, but which roster, odds, and display mood you want to commit to.

Character rosters: Sanrio diner vs fairy court

• Fast Food roster: The tokidoki x Hello Kitty and Friends Fast Food series includes Hello Kitty, My Melody, Kuromi, Cinnamoroll, Keroppi, Pochacco Unicorno Sundae, Tuxedosam, Pompompurin & Hot Doggy Unicorno, and Badtz-maru as the chaser. It is a compact nine-character set with a retro roller-rink, fast-food vibe.
• Pixie Dust roster: The Pixie Dust Fairy Unicorno series includes Crystal Fairy, Dragon Fairy, Mushroom Fairy, Flower Fairy, Glow Fairy (glows in the dark), Sakura Fairy, Butterfly Fairy, Lucky Fairy, and Pixie Angel Fairy as the chaser. That is also nine characters, but the theme is enchanted skies and fairy wings rather than a diner.

What the catalog confirms about the Pixie Dust set

• tokidoki Pixie Dust Fairy Unicorno Blind Box: Each figure stands at approximately 2.75 inches high (70 mm). This is the same height as the Fast Food series, so shelf space is not a deciding factor between the two.

• tokidoki Pixie Dust Fairy Unicorno Blind Box: Recommended for Ages 8+; WARNING: Choking Hazard. Not for children under 3 years; Small Parts. The age guidance and warning are identical to the Fast Food series, so this comparison does not separate them on safety labeling.
• tokidoki Pixie Dust Fairy Unicorno Blind Box: Chaser ratio: 1 in 48. Ordering 9 blind boxes does not guarantee that you will receive all 9 characters. Ordering a case of blind boxes does not guarantee that you will not receive duplicates. The chaser is rare and the set is not guaranteed even with a multi-box order, which matters if you are chasing Pixie Angel Fairy.

What the catalog confirms about the Fast Food set

• tokidoki x Hello Kitty and Friends Fast Food Blind Box: Each figure stands at approximately 2.75 inches high (70 mm). Height matches the Pixie Dust series, so display scale is a tie rather than a differentiator.

• tokidoki x Hello Kitty and Friends Fast Food Blind Box: Recommended for Ages 8+; WARNING: Choking Hazard. Not for children under 3 years; Small Parts. The same age and warning language applies, so neither box is a better choice for a young child based on the supplied record.
• tokidoki x Hello Kitty and Friends Fast Food Blind Box: Chaser ratio: 1 in 48. Ordering 9 blind boxes does not guarantee that you will receive all 9 characters. Ordering a case of blind boxes does not guarantee that you will not receive duplicates. Badtz-maru is the chaser at the same 1-in-48 ratio, so rarity is not a tiebreaker between the two series.

Where the two series genuinely differ

• Theme and display mood: Fast Food is a Sanrio character crossover with a retro diner and roller-rink feel. Pixie Dust is a Unicorno fairy fantasy with shimmering wings and dreamy colors. Pick the shelf story you want to look at every day.
• Character loyalty: If you already collect Hello Kitty, Kuromi, or Cinnamoroll, the Fast Food set gives you recognizable faces. If you collect Unicorno figures rather than Sanrio characters, Pixie Dust keeps the focus on unicornos.
• Finish and features: Pixie Dust figures may include injected glitter and pearlescent detail, and Glow Fairy glows in the dark. The supplied Fast Food record does not list glitter or glow features, so do not assume them.
• Paper insert and sticker: The Pixie Dust record confirms a paper insert listing all characters and a sticker are included. The Fast Food record confirms a paper insert but does not mention a sticker.

Price, cases, and the duplicate reality

Both boxes are listed at $8.00 with a catalog comparison price of $16.00, so the per-box cost is identical in the supplied catalog. If you want a case, the instruction is the same for both: order a quantity of 8. That does not guarantee a complete set, and the catalog explicitly warns that ordering 9 blind boxes does not guarantee all 9 characters and that a case may include duplicates.

The honest tradeoff is that neither series is a safe way to complete a set in one order. If completing a specific roster matters more than the surprise, budget for duplicates or trade them. If you mainly want the fun of opening a tokidoki blind box, either series delivers that at the same price and scale.

Which tokidoki blind box to buy

• Choose the tokidoki x Hello Kitty and Friends Fast Food Blind Box if: You want Sanrio characters in a playful fast-food theme, you already collect Hello Kitty and Friends, or you like the idea of a Badtz-maru chaser.
• Choose the tokidoki Pixie Dust Fairy Unicorno Blind Box if: You prefer unicorno figures, fairy wings, glitter and pearlescent finishes, or you want a chance at the glow-in-the-dark Glow Fairy and the Pixie Angel Fairy chaser.
• Buy one of each if: You are new to tokidoki blind boxes and want to compare the in-hand finish before committing to a case. At $8 per box, trying both is a low-risk way to learn which theme you actually enjoy.

What the supplied records do not settle

The catalog does not list a full character-by-character rarity breakdown beyond the 1-in-48 chaser ratio, and it does not confirm a sticker for the Fast Food series. It also does not provide care instructions for either figure beyond the age warning and small-parts notice. Treat any claim about exact odds for individual characters, or about cleaning and long-term care, as unconfirmed by the supplied information rather than as a product flaw.
